The P3 team has varied experience in working with the athletic population. Due to our individualized treatments, thorough/biomechanical assessments and expansive knowledge base,
we can treat any injuries that are limiting full participation and enhance your athletic performance. Our Pilates equipment allows us to mimic sport-specific movements and challenge athletes in ways to prepare for return to sport.
We can help improve jump height and power through our plyometric jump training program.
PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR ACL REHABILITATION & INJURY PREVENTION
Our ACL Rehabilitation & Injury Prevention Program combines evidence-based physical therapy with reformer-based movement training to restore strength, improve movement quality, and prepare athletes for the demands of sport.
This unique approach helps athletes:

- Develop symmetrical lower extremity strength
- Improve neuromuscular control and body awareness
- Restore hip, core, and pelvic stability
- Correct movement compensations before they become habits
- Build confidence with single-leg loading
- Improve landing, cutting, and deceleration mechanics
- Transition safely from rehabilitation to sport-specific performance

WHY ACL INJURY PREVENTION MATTERS
ACL injuries can be life-changing — often requiring surgery, 9–12 months of rehabilitation, and significant time away from sports.
Risk doesn’t end after recovery — athletes remain at an increased risk for reinjury even after returning to play.
Most ACL injuries occur without contact — commonly during landing, cutting, pivoting, or sudden changes in direction.
Common contributing factors include:

-
-
-

-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Poor movement mechanics
- Decreased neuromuscular control
- Lower extremity muscle imbalances
- Inadequate strength and stability

Prevention is essential for protecting long-term athletic performance and reducing injury risk
WHY THE REFORMER…?
The Pilates reformer allows us to train strength, control, and alignment under controlled resistance and guided movement. This is especially valuable early in rehab when traditional loading may be too aggressive or poorly controlled.
We use the reformer to bridge the gap between basic rehab and high-level sport performance.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Whether you’re recovering from ACL surgery or working to prevent injury, your rehabilitation program will be individualized to your sport, goals, and current level of function.
Our goal is not simply to get you back to playing—but to help you return stronger, more confident, and better prepared for the demands of your sport.
