Barbara has been a physical therapist for almost 20 years since obtaining her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2001. She has practical experience in a chronic-pain management clinic as well as acute care and pediatrics; but, her primary experience and focus has been in outpatient orthopedics. She has had specialty training in a number of exercise approaches and manual therapy techniques, and she is also a comprehensive Certified Pilates Instructor. She received her Pilates certification through Balanced Body in 2010 and had the privilege to train under Elizabeth Larkam, co-founder of Polestar Pilates and nationally recognized as a pioneer of merging Pilates with rehabilitation.

Prior to moving to Nashville, Barbara practiced physical therapy in Alabama and California while her husband attended medical school and residency. They have been happily settled in Nashville for over 10 years and find it the perfect place to raise their family. She has a passion for physical therapy and helping people achieve pain-free movement. She has always identified as an athlete and despite hitting mid-40’s and raising 3 busy boys, being physically active is still a high priority. Her current favorite ways to keep moving are biking, hiking, running, Pilates, yoga, barre classes, rock climbing and playing tennis and ultimate frisbee.
